In this 2 day course you will undertake theory and practical training to gain the skills to determine the pregnancy status of cows and heifers. Live cattle are made available for training and with Group sizes limited to 8 people you’ll be sure to get plenty of hands-on practice. This course is the leading accredited course available in Australia and on successful completion you will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (AHCLSK339- Pregnancy Test Animals) that provides you with lifelong competency. Note that Ultrasound is not assessed at present, and Cattle are the only livestock used for training and assessment.

Physical Requirements

Physical ability to work within cattle yards for learning purposes, and to adequately use manual palpation for pregnancy diagnosis. Some states have legislative restrictions upon this activity, please contact us for details.

Age and Learning Requirements
